The Coping Mechanism™

Coping. On the one hand it means doing what we must in order to persevere. But it’s also a term for the trim along the top edge of a skate ramp. We wanted to cover both definitions, because we call this The Coping Mechanism™. Whether you ride it like Sky Brown or just cruise it down the sidewalk, The Coping Mechanism™ is a refresher. Give it your attention, and it helps you leave stuff behind. But it also asks that you give your intention. To seek out new places, new terrain, and to never let a fence stop you from discovering the other side. Whether that means hopping a literal fence to go carve an empty pool, or a figurative fence that seems like an impossible barrier. Because the fact is, every time we create and articulate something to the world, we have a barrier to overcome. Which means we have to persevere, just like our mascot “Hoppy” does. No matter the challenge, Hoppy keeps pushing, undaunted, with a fun-loving attitude. There is no other way.
